Understanding SDN

Tuesday, 15 September 2015
Different definition of SDN (Software Defined Networks) are available on the internet because its an emerging technology which is introducing big chances in computer networks technologies. Basically SDN means that the control part of the network is being handled by the software applications and SDN controller rather than the traditional command diven and other management consoles. Implement SDN controllers decreases the administrative overhead of the large networks. It is easy to manage large networks with SDN technology.
At the early stage SDN gave great flexibility in managing the large networks as software control applications are more flexible as compared to their counter parts like CLI (Command Level Interfaces)
